We are two local Islanders who started Island Standard to offer thoughtful, dependable property care on Martha’s Vineyard. Whether you’re away for the season or have a project in mind, we’re here to help. We believe in doing good work, keeping you informed, and treating your home with care.
Our Services
Home Watch & Property Checks
Scheduled visual checks of your home while you’re away, with written updates and photos. Choose twice-monthly, weekly, or one-time visits. Urgent checks for leaks, storm damage, alarm alerts, and other concerns are available subject to availability and safe conditions.
Caretaking & Seasonal Support
Practical help with the details of owning an island home—from preparing for your arrival and securing your property after departure to seasonal setup, deliveries, errands, and special requests. We’ll discuss what you need and agree on a plan.
Carpentry & General Repairs
Thoughtful repairs and small projects to keep your home in good shape. Services include trim work, decking, window and screen repairs or replacements, and everyday fixes, with the scope and materials agreed before work begins.
Cleaning & Rental Turnovers
Routine cleaning, deep cleaning, and rental turnover cleaning to keep your property fresh and welcoming. Whether you need ongoing help or preparation between stays, we’ll discuss your home, timing, and cleaning needs.

Choose scheduled home-watch visits for time away, or add practical caretaking and repair help when you need it.
Home Watch Packages
$200 / month
2 visits per calendar month
For occasional, scheduled oversight.
$300 / month
1 visit per week
For regular check-ins during longer absences.
Every home-watch visit: Up to 30 minutes on site, a visual check of accessible areas, and a written photo update. We look for visible leaks, unusual indoor conditions, unsecured doors/windows and other obvious concerns.
Home watch is a visual service, not continuous monitoring or a technical home inspection.
Additional Services
A scheduled visual property check with notes and photos. Includes up to 30 minutes on site.
Urgent property checks for leaks, storm damage, alarm alerts, or other unexpected concerns. Includes up to one hour on site. Subject to availability and safe conditions.
Preparing your home before you arrive and securing it after you leave.
From window and screen repairs to trim work and everyday fixes, we help keep your home in good shape.
Materials billed separately.

How do your fees work?
Home-watch packages and additional visit rates are listed above. Cleaning and rental turnover pricing is quoted separately based on your home, the work involved, and your schedule. We provide a written proposal or estimate before work begins.
Can I book a one-time project or ongoing care?
Yes. We can discuss a one-time cleaning or repair project, scheduled home-watch visits, or ongoing caretaking. Tell us what you need and when, and we’ll agree on the services and schedule.
How will I hear about my property?
Home-watch visits include written updates and photos. If we observe a concern, we contact you to discuss the next step. Communication preferences and any emergency arrangements are agreed before service starts.
